This section has for purpose to present the features of Melon Forum Component.
General
- Forums Group Options – Name, Order.
- Forum Options – Name, Description, Active, Closed, Public, Permissions.
- Topic Options – Title, Description, Active, Closed, Types – Normal, Announcement, Sticky.
- Post Options – Text.
- Register topic view.
- Easy access to last post in forum, topic.
Forum Administration
- Create, Edit, or Delete Categories, Forums.
- Arrange the order of Categories.
Roles and Permissions
- There are four roles: Super Administrators, Administrators, Moderators, and Normal Users.
- Super administrator’s permissions – no restrictions.
- Administrator permissions – has all rights in the range of the forum in which is administrator.
- Moderator permissions - Moderator could edit and delete topics and posts in the range of the forum in which is moderator.
- Normal user permissions – Normal user could edit own posts.
Member Profile
- Editable member profile.
- Member Information – First name, Last Name, Photo.
- The member could make his profile visible for the other members.
- Contact information - Email, ICQ.
- Active Statistics - Join Date, Number of Posts.
Search
- Search posts using keywords (phrases) and/or by author.
- Search criteria – keywords, author, location, date period, sort criterion.
- Sorting of the results by date, forum, topic, author.
- Quick access to the forum and the topic of the found posts.
